A photo shoot in Chianti is an experience to try at least once in a lifetime. Among the many beautiful areas in Italy, Chianti is one of the most impressive and well-known. In late August, nature is at its best. The light is soft, warm and cosy, perfect for intimate portraits. The colours of the landscape become yellow then turn copper-coloured, making the scenery even more breathtaking. And sunsets are unforgettable!
These lovebirds must have thought all of this when they decided to have their photos taken in the yellowed rolling hills of Chianti. Or maybe they used the engagement session as an excuse to spend a few days off in this part of Tuscany. Anyway, the bride and groom-to-be posed for my camera among ancient villages and fabulous landscapes, the same ones that inspired the painters of the Renaissance. Their engagement photo shoot took place around Certaldo and San Gimignano. The VIP of the photographs was a vintage Fiat Cinquecento, which allowed me to capture some of the best shots of this year. I had a great time shooting them. I discovered that, thanks to her Italian grandparents, she has acquired a strong accent from the South of Italy, even if she doesn’t speak Italian at all!! More than anything, she is a gorgeous and nice girl. He is handsome also, and I cannot wait to see their wedding pictures next year.
