The Cinque Terre are among the most beautiful places in the world where to have photos taken. Whether for a honeymoon, or, as in this case, for an engagement session, Manarola, Riomaggiore and the other villages of the Ligurian coast provide breathtaking backgrounds and unforgettable views to take back home overseas. Not surprisingly, the Cinque Terre are among the most visited sites in Italy, also stormed by hundreds of photographers who test here their skills in landscape photography. Among these, wedding photographers are the luckiest. Where else could you find such beautiful sceneries for portrait sessions? In spring the Cinque Terre give their best; the days start to get warmer and colourful flowers to bloom on the balconies of the palazzos and restaurants al fresco. Tourists begin to populate the centre of the villages and train stations. Among them, I had the opportunity to meet this special couple.
I had been contacted by Tyler to photograph his wedding proposal in Manarola. Unfortunately, we had to postpone it to the next morning due to the bad weather. Tyler, couldn’t resist and popped the question on the balcony of their Airbnb. An unforgettable moment, too bad I wasn’t there to document it! What to do the next day then? Simple, beautiful portraits in the Cinque Terre! I led this lovely couple to the most beautiful spots of Manarola and surroundings, shooting them among the colourful houses and the lush vegetation. It was not that difficult; they were still radiant from the day before. Who knows if I’ll meet them again! Maybe for their wedding. By the Cinque Terre? Maybe. It would be legendary!
