Among the many beautiful Tuscan venues, a Garden Villa Grabau Wedding is a daydream. Moreover, if you are Italian and have been living abroad for many years, you must be super excited to come back and celebrate your wedding in the lovely countryside of Lucca. Here Laura, the bride of the day, exchanged vows and rings on a sunny day of June. But let’s take a step back.
Hundreds of Italians each year choose to move abroad: a few for love, many for work, but most of them will never come back to Il Bel Paese. Some of my destination weddings are of Italians living overseas, and I can say that a specific Italian imprint always remains somehow: even if grown abroad, the descendants speak good Italian. Laura grew up between Luxembourg and England. Here she began to work and fell in love with Tim, this handsome English guy. And although this wandering around Europe has saved her from our national vices – she doesn’t gesture wildly like us, for instance 😄- I like to think that for beauty, charm and grace Laura is 100% Italian.
She got ready together with her bridesmaids in one of the villas on the grounds of Villa Grabau. Arm in arm with her father, she walked through the paths to marry Tim in the Hedge Garden, warmed by her friends and family. After a few family photos, I captured their wedding portraits in the most beautiful spots of Villa Grabau, after which the newlyweds joined up with their guests in the Lemon Garden. The dinner took place in the Limonaia, where during the speeches the best man roasted the groom and made the bride smile. A few tears for her father’s speech, and it was time to party. There couldn’t be a better end than cutting the cake under the blue sky of Villa Grabau. I greeted the newlyweds shortly after, but I will keep this Garden Villa Grabau Wedding for a long time in my heart. It might be because of this lovely bride, or maybe thanks to the excellent organisation; I can’t help but scroll up and down the photos below. Enjoy!
