As a wedding venues of Florence. Initially built in 1400, the Villa di Maiano is located a stone’s throw from Fiesole, 15 minutes from the centre of Florence. Set of the movie A Room with a view, the villa is perched in a panoramic area, surrounded by vineyards and olive groves, in the peace of the Tuscan countryside. The property also includes a farmhouse with accommodations, where organic olive oil and wine are produced.
Villa di Maiano provides unique features to anyone who looks for a celebration in the heart of Tuscany but not far from the centre of Florence. In addition to the fabulous terrace with a view, the real strength of Villa di Maiano is the large garden, perfect for wedding photos at sunset. And what about the grand facade and the tapestry room? The latter is the ideal location for crazy dancings with friends until late at night!
The bride got ready together with her bridesmaids at Villa Il Salviatino. Here I photographed her beautiful Berta dress and exclusive details. The groom has watched her walking to the altar arm in arm with her father in the Oak Garden, where the symbolic ceremony took place. Once exchanged vows and rings, the newlyweds have spent the cocktail hour with their guests by the terrace, before I stole them for some wedding photos in the garden below. It wasn’t challenging at all; both of them were beaming, glowing in their wedding outfits.
The dinner has taken place in the shade of the imposing facade, where the wedding planner Silvana and the flower designer Dario had set up tables with flowers and candles. Immediately after sunset, the sky turned blue, and I had the chance to take amazing shots. The wedding reception continued then with the cake show and the dancing in the tapestry room on the ground floor, surmounted by a majestic balustrade in Florentine sandstone. Here I greeted the bride and groom still excited (and exhausted) for the long day.
