Among the many photo tours I’ve published on my photography blog, I’ll remember this Florence engagement session for long. Thanks to these gorgeous American lovebirds! Alexandra is one of those girls who, the moment you see them- bang!- she strikes you right in the heart with her disarming beauty and red-soled Louboutin. Florentines know it well, because, on a warm afternoon of May, they have stared at her while she was walking on the cobblestones of the Tuscan town, close to her groom-to-be. What to say about Jay? I met a handsome dark-haired, tall and elegant man who didn’t leave neutral all the women in the centre of In Spring I had received an email from two young New-Yorkers, Alexandra and Jay, who had decided to leave the Big Apple to exchange their vows here by the Castello del Trebbio, on the mild hills of the Florentine countryside. They also wanted us to take their engagement photos earlier so that we have the chance to know them better before the Big Day and get some memories of their holidays in Tuscany. They would come to Italy for location scouting indeed, so I had no hesitation about the location of their engagement photos. That had to be Florence!
Their Florence engagement session couldn’t have been easier and more natural. Alexandra and Jay looked like two actors on a journey, an American couple in Italy matching the style of La Dolce Vita. The love for each other was clear at every glance, and they always showed it with unbelievable empathy. The afternoon went away so naturally, between some photos with a view in Piazzale Michelangelo and some others on Ponte Vecchio! Take a look and enjoy!
