As a proud Italian, I must say Tuscany is an absolutely fantastic place to visit no matter what stage of life you’re in. Whether you’re planning a romantic proposal or tying the knot, lots of people choose it for their honeymoon. But it’s not just for young people or newlyweds – families from around the world come to Tuscany to make unforgettable memories with their loved ones. And that’s the best moment likely for being portrayed in a family shoot.
The most popular way to maximize comfort and time spent together is by renting a beautiful villa in the Tuscan countryside for a few days. Here family members can take a day trip to the sights of Florence and Val d’Orcia and then cool off with a dip in the pool on hot days, followed by dinner prepared by local chefs. It’s the best for a casual gathering. Kids can have fun with many activities, and adults can unwind with a glass of wine and chat. It’s all about spending quality time together with family, enjoying good food, and creating beautiful memories. You’ll forget about your phone, I promise!
One of the most popular destinations is the Chianti area, known for its breathtaking views and stunning villas. The families portrayed below, for instance, stayed in a beautifully renovated villa in Castellina in Chianti. The views there were insane, and I couldn’t stop taking pictures of the vineyards, cypress trees, and ornamental plants, which also were the best backdrop for this family retreat shoot.
The stars were three families who had been friends since college. They wanted to celebrate their decades-long friendship with this journey, and I was lucky enough to be their family photographer. I kept the shots as natural as possible. The kids were my biggest helpers. They were so well-behaved! We all had so much fun together, and that really shows in their family pictures. The sunset light was so romantic and dreamy, and I had the chance to capture the essence of their connections. We laughed and made memories that will last a lifetime.
If you’re looking for a truly unforgettable family break, I highly recommend Tuscany and Chianti areas. There’s something for everyone here, and I guarantee you’ll fall with places, food, and lifestyle in general just like they did. But don’t forget to hire a family photographer to document this and much more!
