The 50th wedding anniversary is a significant milestone to remember for years to come through precious pictures. And so I joined this lovely American group of people at the villa they had rented for their getaway in Val d’Orcia for a family photo shoot on a very hot July day.
As the temperature dropped at sunset, the light enveloped everything perfectly. The countryside, as well as the smiling, happy faces of this holidaying family. For the occasion, the members wore outfits in the colors of the Italian flag. The beauty of the villa’s grounds contributed to the magical vibe, with the enchanting backdrops made of cypress and olive trees and blooming lavender bushes.
Italy is the best makeup. It is no secret that Italy and Tuscany make people look healthier and more beautiful. Thanks to the sunshine, of course, but as well as the great food and that relaxed lifestyle, millions of visitors return to their places of origin with unforgettable photographs and memories. Like this American family did.
I couldn’t miss some shots with the grandparents, who lent themselves with their smiles to all the photo ops of their children and grandchildren. I’m sure they will treasure these pictures forever. Like good wine, family photos become more precious and meaningful with time.
