The job of a good wedding photographer is to immortalise the emotions of the day. In particular, to let people relive all that vibrant mood after years in photos. And that’s what I tried to do today, thanks to this wonderful Villa di Lilliano Wedding.
Florence and Tuscany are all about the beautiful and authentic things of life. Like mild weather, nature, great food and wine. Every bride-to-be keeps it in great consideration in arranging a destinations wedding in Italy. Together with the love of families and friends, a good balance and relaxed lifestyle is the basis for a successful marriage – and for a long life!
The spouses organised their wedding at the fabulous Villa Di Lilliano in Florence. This elegant venue is located just a few miles from the city centre, surrounded by hills full of olive trees and cypresses. The Villa di Lilliano provides several areas to host ceremony and reception, in a natural and relaxed setting, as well as many nearby apartments for friends and family. Guests can enjoy the excursions and day trips that the property organises, but also wine tastings and relaxation by the pool.
The newlyweds got ready in the apartments together with their parents and close friends. The civil ceremony took place on the panoramic terrace of the villa, under the hot sun of June. The spouses exchanged vows and rings surrounded by the sound of the cicadas, before enjoying a refreshing appetiser in the shadow of the court.
The real flagship of Villa di Lilliano is the garden, where I portrayed the bride and groom in a relaxed atmosphere during a stroll, in a very Tuscan setting. There was no need for pose or direction: the newlyweds were friendly and the atmosphere intimate, perfect for taking breathtaking wedding portraits.
Dinner also took place in the garden of Villa di Lilliano: large wooden tables were set up on the lawn, in true Tuscan style. I greeted the bride and groom after the traditional speeches. The two, still euphoric for the long day, barely noticed it. They were getting ready for dancings!
